What is WINDpaddling?

Co je WINDpaddling?

Imagine going out on a paddleboard. When there's no wind, you paddle comfortably. As soon as the wind picks up, you unfurl a sail in one minute and let the wind do the work for you. That's exactly what WINDpaddling is – a new sport that combines paddling and sailing.

Two sports in one

The system is based on the Paddle-sail – a special sail wound directly onto the paddle. When the wind blows, you simply extend the paddle, unfurl the sail, and head into the wind. When the wind dies down, you wind the sail back onto the paddle and continue with classic paddling.

You don't have to return to shore or change equipment.

How is WINDpaddling different?

Unlike windsurfing, it doesn't use a classic mast. The paddle remains a full-fledged paddle and, after a simple extension, also serves as a mast.

Thanks to this, you can seamlessly switch between paddling and sailing during one trip, according to current conditions.

Who is it for?

WINDpaddling is ideal for anyone who already owns a paddleboard or wants to enjoy their time on the water even more.

It is suitable for:

  • beginners and experienced paddleboarders,

  • recreational trips,

  • lakes, dams, and calm seas,

  • everyone who wants to use the wind instead of fighting against it.

Main advantages

  • combination of paddling and sailing,

  • quick mode change directly on the water,

  • light and compact equipment,

  • utilization of most common paddleboards,

  • more fun even in windy weather.

When it's windy, you sail. When it's not windy, you paddle.

That's the main idea of WINDpaddling. Instead of the wind spoiling your trip, it helps you keep going.
